Every now and then, I will get a query from a novice writer asking for tips on how to monetize their writings?
Most of them haven't published anything yet they want to exploit their potential gains.
Although earning money is a valid prospect, however, learning/beginning a craft with money in mind is a bit sick.
Take sports for example.
I am sure most professional players didn’t choose a sport after calculating how much money they could mint.
They started playing let’s say cricket, hockey, badminton, or football because of their love for the game. Monetary profits were the least of their concerns.
Nowadays everything has an ROI label. If you aren’t reaping any rewards the activity is deemed unfit.
Any aspiring writer reading this, remember money will flow but first focus on your craft.
Write because you enjoy it, not for the numbers, cash, fame, or other futile metrics.
