Podcast economy is on fire right now. The majority of the content creators have one. A major reason for its success is the ease of consumption.
You can listen to one while driving or while exercising at the gym.
However, I prefer video podcasts over audio podcasts.
Why because I love to see the expressions and gestures of the speakers. It adds a degree of authenticity to what they say. A sarcastic one-liner or a concern for a social cause feels more genuine.
Plus in the case of audio podcasts, we usually club it with an additional activity, so we might not be fully focused on the podcast.
That doesn’t happen with the video editions because one is literally watching the screen and there is no multitasking.
